I have to share this poem posted over on The Wild Magnolia...It reminds me of where I am in my journey....It reminds me of the many wonderful women who I have in my life that helped me get here by their love & support ....It reminds me of even the worse women who have helped me along by being my greatest lessons of what not to be ...my favorite line..."I am becoming a deep weathered basket"....I know many of you will read this & it will remind you of your journey as well......Enjoy!
Finding Her Here
I am becoming the woman I've wanted,
grey at the temples,
soft body, delighted,
cracked up by life
with a laugh that's known bitter
but, past it, got better,
knows she's a survivor-
that whatever comes,
she can outlast it.
I am becoming a deep
I am becoming the woman I've longed for,
the motherly lover
with arms strong and tender,
the growing daughter
who blushes surprises.
I am becoming full moons
I find her becoming,
this woman I've wanted,
who knows she'll encompass,
who knows she's sufficient,
knows where she's going
and travels with passion.
Who remembers she's precious,
but knows she's not scarce-
who knows she is plenty,
plenty to share.

I started to collect crystals during my cancer treatments...I started with Amethyst & had a few pieces all around the house...Now I am using them to treat my headaches as well as for sleeping....a post will be coming on that....My favorites are Amethyst, Quartz & Moonstone.. What are yours??
Smokey Quartz...next on my list...
Himalayan Quartz ...would love to have this ...
Tonight is the Full Worm Moon ......
"As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter; or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation. To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter."
All of them very welcomed signs....This is also a good time to charge your crystals...I have included a link for ways to Clean & Charge Your Crystals
Enjoy your Moontime...

Brick is one of those essential decor element....Everyone needs at least one wall (or floor) in their house that is brick......it is earthy & grounding...it gives a sense of strength...of permanence.....It gives a feeling of warmth....It is so versatile you can put it in any room in the home & it will work with anything & everything....It definitely works for a Bohemian look .....So throw on some Pink Floyd & starting bricking.....

"O blackbird! sing me something well:
While all the neighbors shoot thee round,
I keep smooth plats of fruitful ground,
Where thou mayst warble, eat, and dwell."
Lord Alfred Tennyson
While a foot of snow was falling upon us once again, we received a gift this afternoon...the Blackbirds arrived ...a sign that Spring is still on its way....To not to give up hope......
It was a flurry of activity all afternoon.....back & forth......swooping & flying.....
My other little birds were not happy at all about this invasion at the Chickadee Cafe.. but they will have their place back soon enough....
Even my old girl Hattie, who never bothers with this anymore, had to see what was going on...
Against the stark whiteness everywhere, you would see flashes of red....It was really something...
I counted over 50 of them....
It is hard to believe that I was looking at my Tiger Lilies sprouting up through the ground yesterday....& I spotted my crocus sprouts on the hill....
Oh Well....eventually Spring will arrive & stay.....

When you think of what an artist uses to create with you tend to think of paint brushes, pencils, sewing machines, needles, Dremels & instruments of that nature ...others have more unique tools of creativity....like chainsaws...Zeke Elliot not only makes his living in the mountain woodlands of Western Maine but also creates these amazing works of art with a chainsaw...
I love this little guy....
I find it amazing that someone can take a piece of log...round rough & plain....& pull out these creations..
How great is this hand chair...
He also makes these wonderful rustic tables...
